Deploying complex software where technical credibility is non-negotiable
Led industrial deployments and exploratory POCs, building the ground truth behind later Product Marketing work.

01
The challenge
Start with the situation, not the deliverables.
Turn a signed contract and a technically working product into visible value across six-month deployments in environments shaped by security, regulation, legacy systems and long decision chains.
- High-security industrial environments
- Six-month deployment cycles
- Multiple technical disciplines
- Uncertainty during exploratory POCs
02
Research & insights
What changed the way I framed the problem.
Insight 01Value is won or lost between a product that works and a customer who adopts it.
Insight 02POCs require product judgment: identify the relevant problem and the minimum useful scope.
Insight 03A single customer’s reality is not automatically a market view.
03
Approach & decisions
A sequence of choices, not a pile of assets.
- 01
Coordinate around customer value rather than technical completion alone.
- 02
Run discovery and MVP scoping in parallel when uncertainty was high.
- 03
Separate customer rejection, technical failure and internal prioritisation in POC analysis.
- 04
Validate technical work rigorously enough for regulated stakeholders.
04
Selected outputs
What the work produced.
- Six industrial deployments
- Nine-site fleet coordination
- Four datacenter POCs
- Multiphysics models and real-time model reduction
- Connected measurement device moved toward commercialisation
Client names, detailed project data and site media require permission or anonymisation before wider publication.
05
Impact
Evidence, with context and attribution.
- Four gas and two nuclear deployments completed
- Nine sites coordinated through three project managers
- Two of four POCs became active product lines
- Technical foundation later reused in Product Marketing
What I learned
Deployment gives deep customer ground truth. Learning to reason from the market upward is a different altitude—and came later deliberately.
What I would do differently
Capture reusable market signals alongside delivery evidence from the start, rather than leaving insights inside project teams.
